Marketing emails have always remained a popular method to reach potential customers. However, some emails may be marked as spam emails and land in the customers' spam folder. Even though we have an automated system that checks for potential spam, sometimes certain emails are marked as suspicious. Such emails will be shared with our Manual Moderation Team for review. Our Content Compliance Team and Manual Moderation Team review your email campaigns to ensure that they fulfill all the compliance criteria and do not land in your contacts' spam folder.
Factors that are reviewed
When an email campaign is reviewed, the campaign's content is a key factor in determining if the campaign can be approved for sending. A list of mandatory checks during the review process is listed below.
Subject
The first part of an email campaign that will be reviewed is the subject line. We make sure that the subject line does not contain certain words, such as offer, sale, discount, or money. This will ensure that your email does not land in the spam folder of your recipients.
Content
When the body of the content is reviewed, we will check to see that no mixed font sizes and colors are used in the same line. We also check the content for objectionable words, as this can lead your emails to land in spam folders. If you have included links in the content, we verify that they are redirected to websites that are related to your business and whether they are valid. We also make sure that your email footer contains a link that the recipient can use to unsubscribe from your mailing list. All these checks help your email to land in recipients' inbox.
Image
While reviewing this section, we check if all the images are clear and legible. We also look out for pornographic images, as Zoho Campaigns does not allow sending inappropriate emails. The images used should also be of a proper size, so that they fit into the chosen email template. We also check from where the image has been uploaded (through text editor, HTML editor, template, or design template). These validations ensure that your email is not marked as spam.
In this case, a thorough check is made to confirm that the account holder does not exceed the maximum number of contacts covered in their subscription plan. Any change associated with the list, such as deletion or re-adding of the contacts, is checked. The orglist of a customer is whitelisted depending upon their past campaign details, such as the usage of the same contact list.
Org Whitelist
When an account holder has a history of campaigns free from any complaints with regards to the subject, content, contact list, or spam, their orglist is completely whitelisted. A random monitoring is also done against any misuse of privileges provided to such genuine account holders.
